How to get to the lodge

Takapuna Ski Club is situated on the Whakapapa ski area of Mt Ruapehu.

Drive to the top of the Bruce Road and park in the overnight car parks just downhill of the medical centre and emergency shelter.

The lodge is a 15 minute walk from the car park:

• Walk towards Lorenzo's bar and follow the path to the right of the building.
• About 20 metres past Lorenzo's, turn sharp right up hill on the track over the small ridge.
• Walk towards Puketoi club.
• Follow the path left of Puketoi club uphill up the side of a larger ridge.
• Walk past Summit Club which is painted grey and red.
• Takapuna Ski Club is a bit further up the ridge.
