  • Hiking boots or sturdy shoes for the 15 minute walk to the lodge

    • Your own drinks, beer, wine, speciality tea or ground coffee (plunger and espresso machine available in the lodge)

Getting here

Situated on the Whakapapa ski area of Mt Ruapehu, we’re a short 15 minute walk from the ‘Top of the Bruce’, Bruce Road overnight car parks (just downhill of the medical centre and emergency shelter.)

Walk towards Lorenzo's bar and follow the path to the right of the building.

About 20 metres past Lorenzo's, turn sharp right up hill on the track over the small ridge.

Walk towards Puketoi club. Follow the path left of Puketoi club, uphill up the side of a larger ridge. Walk past Summit Club which is painted grey and red.

Takapuna Ski Club is a bit further up the ridge.
